The R. V., E. and H. Moon Charitable Trust and input from Pilling Parish Council
has seen the area landscaped and planted to offer a quiet place to rest in the
countryside of Pilling.

Started in November
2010 Graham Armer, the Parish Lengthsman began by draining the area and
relocating the original two wooden beds. Following that the centre wooden
raised beds were built in situ and dressed stone was purchased from St. Johns
Church to create the perimeter beds.
Pilling Parish Council
is indebted to C and D Clitheroe for the provision of the soil for the beds and
to Wyre Borough Council for the seating and waste bin.
Building supplies came
from C and C Supplies and they were dug, arranged, spread,
re-arranged and finally laid to rest by Pip Whiteside.
The Parish Council is forever grateful to
Denis and Marilyn Howcroft for planning the centre beds, sourcing the plants
and shrubs and taking the time to aesthetically plant out.
The two perimeter beds are to be designed by
St. Johns and St. Williams Primary Schools.
