To be eligible for one of these homes you must prove a local connection and apply through the My Homes Choice web site at:

Local Connection means in relation to an individual such and individual who:

a)      Has his or her principal home in the Wyre Borough Council Ward of Pilling for a continuous period of not less than 3 years; or

b)      Has previously lived in the said Ward of Pilling for 6 or more years to the age of 18; or

c)      Has or a member of whose household has a parent adult child, brother or sister whose only or principal home is and has been for a continuous period of not less than 3 years in the said Ward of Pilling and he or she wishes to be near that relative; or

d)       Has continuously lived in the said Ward of Pilling for 6 years prior to being accepted as homeless under section 193 or 197 of the Housing Act 1996 and placed in any form of temporary accommodation outside the ward for up to a maximum of 2 years; or

e)      Is and has been permanently employed (excluding seasonal employment) in the said Ward of Pilling for a continuous period of not less than 3 years.

And where after a Residential Unit becomes available and after all reasonable endeavours have been made to find a person fulfilling the criteria within the period of 4 weeks then qualifying ward may be extended to include the Wards of Preesall, Hambleton, and Stalmine-with-Staynall, Great Eccelston, Garstang, Cabus, Wyresdale and failing that the addition of the Wards of Catterall, Calder and Brock, failing that criteria shall be extended by adding all of the Wards and Parishes in Wyre Council
